Reconstruction of Bloemendalstraat in Vaals “Sjwats Jris”
In late 2017, we were commissioned by the municipality of Vaals to renovate the Bloemendalstraat Sjwats Jris,
in a project consisting of the complete renovation of the entire substructure and superstructure. In several places, the sewage system was replaced at a depth of 4.00 m. Much of the work done above ground consisted of replacing natural stone pavement. As the street was also home to Bloemendal castle, the streetscape had a largely classic look and feel, featuring a combination of asphalt, concrete pavers and natural stone pavement. All natural stone pavement was entirely reused.
The scope of the work in figures:
- 6000m3 groundworks
- 1500m1 sewerage
- 6500m2 foundations
- 1000 tonnes of asphalt
- 5500m2 paving
