Van Boekel provides sustainable and carefully considered solutions to civil-engineering, environmental-engineering and development challenges in the outdoor environment. Thanks to our “deliberate, discuss, do” approach, we stand out as a hybrid builder, excelling in complex, multidisciplinary projects for public and private clients in the geotechnical, highway & hydraulic, concrete, and non-residential engineering sectors in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgian and the Caribbean.
With our very own engineering office and more than a hundred employees, we continuously immerse ourselves and our green hearts in the latest techniques and technologies, with the greatest respect for our natural environment. We like to work on Design & Build projects via Best Value Procurement and MEAT tenders, but we also let our healthy dose of opportunism speak for itself in the traditional forms of tendering.
Bouw & Infra
Van Boekel Bouw & Infra works mainly on multidisciplinary civil & non-residential engineering projects. Focusing on projects awarded on the basis of Best Value for Money (BVM), we have a wide range of clients and specialise on new types of projects and contracts, such as UAV-gc, in domestic and international settings. Unknown location
Relatively easy technical projects on St. Eustatius can still be complicated due to the distance involved. How do I get my equipment there? How do I deal with local parties and customs?
Complicated surroundings
When working on a project in Amsterdam’s Zuidas district, we have to deal with 60,000 (!) cyclists passing by every day.
Complex projects
Building a data centre is a complex endeavour that involves lots of people, all at the same time. Sometimes, it can take up to 2000 people, all of whom have to take each other into account.
Specialist technical knowledge
We are responsible for about 10% of all Dutch settling basins, which has seen us amass an enormous amount of knowledge. The same applies to the renovation or new construction of pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants. Hydraulic engineering is one of our focus areas.
Regionaal
Van Boekel is loyal to its native soil and therefore strives to contribute to making Northeast Brabant future-proof in close collaboration with local partners. We know our region like no other and know exactly what matters to our local clients and the local population.
Van Boekel Regionaal carries out infrastructure projects for public clients from the region, such as the municipalities of Uden, Meierijstad and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, in addition to a wide range of projects for private clients.
Data centres
Our ever-increasing reliance on the Internet and the digitisation of society are creating a growing need for storage capacity for digital information. Other market conditions (such as the commotion surrounding Brexit) have also accelerated the market for the construction of data centres. This enormous demand is causing unprecedented time pressure and requires a creative and flexible construction partner. It is a high-risk niche market for robustly designed buildings with stringent technology and safety requirements. After all, there is little time for engineering: we often find ourselves working on the foundations before we know what the rest of the building will look like. Van Boekel is responsible for the building envelope, as well as plumbing and sewers, in addition to supervising the entire construction process.
