New build for Schijf water production plant

Commissioned by Brabant Water N.V., we have partnered up with ADS Groep and Hoppenbrouwers Techniek to complete a new build for the Schijf Water Production Plant. Together with ADS Bouw, Van Boekel Bouw & Infra is responsible for realising the entire civil engineering and construction scope. We have joined forces with our partners to complete this complex, multidisciplinary project.

More energy efficient

The new water production plant will be considerably smaller and more energy efficient than the current system, thanks to new techniques and a compact design. The current system will remain operational for the time being, which will enable the client to continue to supply good, reliable drinking water during the construction period.

Realisation of new main building

The civil engineering and construction work include the construction of a new main building with pump and filter rooms, clean water vaults, blower and transformer rooms, a new build chemical building and the replacement of the water pit vaults. Mechanical engineering contractor Aan De Stegge will take care of the cascade aeration, softening installation, piping, fittings, rinsing water installation, compressed air installation, clean water vaults and sludge silos. The associated electrical and control work is carried out by Hoppenbrouwers Techniek.
