Lineg, Drüpterweg-Alpsche Ley

Ley” project by the German LINEG water board. This was a natural engineering project aimed towards encouraging a straight stream to meander again. The development of the natural area was of key importance here, and the preservation of flora and fauna was paramount towards supporting the ecological development of the area. The project was completed in mid-2018.

After completing the transport roads, we started work on the preparatory phase, which involved removing existing fences, bushes and tree stumps. Several transport roads were left in place after the work was completed, to allow for maintenance in the future.

The development of the natural area was of key importance here

After the removal and disposal of the topsoil, which could be reused for a project for the same client, a meandering course was excavated for the stream, after which the old stream was partially filled in.

An amphibian passage was built for maintenance purposes, and several natural stone steps were placed in the stream to allow off-road vehicles such as tractors to cross safely to perform maintenance.

Van Boekel Bouw & Infra changed its course a few years ago, shifting our focus to multidisciplinary concrete projects in the civil and non-residential construction sectors. We started to emphasise Best Value Procurement (BVP) projects, which enabled us to escape the low-cost market. This change of course has netted Van Boekel Bouw & Infra new clients, whilst enabling us to specialise in new types of projects and contracts, such as UAV-gc, and expanding our work area in the Netherlands and abroad.  Our organisation and employees worked hard to make this transition into a success, focusing on acquiring new clients and completing new projects.
