Chain partnership with Bofram Techniek

Van Boekel makes heavy use of its own equipment and machinery, including our vibrating roller, which puts in 8-hour days, five days a week for our project in Bottrop. Naturally, these machines may malfunction from time to time, and when that happens, there’s nothing more convenient than having a technical service company at hand that you can call for a quick fix. That’s why we have a chain partnership with Bofram Techniek in Zeeland.

After Bofram Techniek performed a technical checkup on the vibrating roller, they came to the conclusion that they would have to resolve the problem in their workshop. Unfortunately, the machine had ground to a complete standstill and could no longer move forward or backward. Our colleague Erik hoisted this 16-tonne mammoth onto our low-loader, ready to make the journey from Germany to Bofram Techniek’s workshop in Zeeland. The malfunction was quickly remedied after a short visit to the workshop, and the vibrating roller was quickly returned to our project in Bottrop on our very own transport.

Unplanned downtime costs money and slows down the work, which is exactly what any company will try to avoid. Despite the fact that we schedule regular preventive maintenance, malfunctions will always occur and they’ll rarely be expected. That’s why having access to quick service is so important.

With this chain partnership, we are guaranteed of a fast response. The lines of communication are short and because we have been working together for years, emergencies are resolved quickly. Sharing knowledge of the equipment and the people who spend their lives working with it lets you get to know each other and understand each other.

Collaboration connects knowledge, allowing the whole to become more than the sum of its parts.
